What is Geekfest?

Geekfest is Tetsuronin and Starforce's annual vacation from work and heroism, held annualy the first two weeks in August

Where is it held?

It alternates yearly between Tokyo and Dallas. In the story 'Mechanon, Inc.', which takes place in 2015 at the time it is starting, it is being held in Tokyo that year

When (and why) did it start?

The first Geekfest was held in Tokyo in 1997. Masahara Yoshihiro was interested in licensing some technology from ProStar, and one of the conditions of the initial agreement was for Bob Hawkins to come over for a week of private consultation. It was a plot hatched jointly by both Yoshi and Julie to keep Bob involved in the world at a time when he was ostracized and living under virtual house arrest for the sin of being Albert Zerstoiten's son.

Has Geekfest ever been cancelled?

Twice. In 2003, Tetsuronin was in India fighting against Shadow Destroyer during the South Indian War throughout the first half of August ("Chantal's War"). In 2007, everyone was dealing with Istvatha V'Han's second incursion into our dimension.

What do Bob and Yoshi do during Geekfest?

Get drunk, watch anime and SF programming, and take a whack at technical problems which either interest them or have been troubling them. In no particular order
