Dr. Tara Lemick / Lady Blue
Fighting Captain Star on the steps of the Capitol,
Washington DC, sometime in 1987
Bob Hawkins' co-worker in 'You All Meet in a Lab' which saw the start of her career as a supervillain. Also part-time love interest to Starforce in spite of being adversaries.
Character Sheets | 1982 | 1989 |
---|---|---|
First Seen: | "You All Meet in a Lab" | |
Last Seen: | "A Rose for Tara" |
- Anti-Villain: Proceeds from her robberies which are not required for battlesuit maintenance and upkeep go to either charity or some local/neighborhood need in the city which she is visiting
- Also, given the number of times she has fought alongside TASK FORCE or other heroes, she is a solid Type IV on the Sliding Scale of Anti-Villains.
- Catch Phrase: "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Stand and deliver!!"
- Child Genius: Is as old as either Bob or Julie and has a PhD in Physics, having made (as Julie reads in 'You All Meet In A Lab') "...breakthroughs in electrogravitics which haven't been seen since World War 2".
- Dating Catwoman: In a weird, distaff-ish sort of way, since her feelings toward Bob (especially before his marriage to Julie) were usually reciprocated
- Comic Book Fantasy Casting: Julie Benz (Amanda Rosewater, from 'Defiance')
- Hollywood Hacking: Not really seen, but strongly implied to have taken place between scenes in "Escalation"
- In another unseen example from "The First Dimensional War", she admits to Bob that she helped Julie break into the White House's computer network during the events of "United States v. Hawkins" in an attempt to clear him of his charges
- Intimate Psychotherapy: How she convinces an alternate-timeline Starforce to help her restore history in "V'Han Returns"
- Just Like Robin Hood: Her motive for being a villain
- The Lost Lenore: Becomes this to Bob in "A Rose for Tara." The entire story takes place either en route to or at her grave in Brooklyn in late 2039
- The Nicknamer: Seemingly has one for everybody she meets, never more evident than during the her attempted robbery of the party at Stately Dormyer Manor in 'Escalation'
- Powered Armor: While partnered with Bob Hawkins before 'You All Meet in a Lab', developed the basic forcefield-based battlesuit they each would wear for the next several decades
- Refuge in Audacity: In 'Black Ops', she carries a room-service tray into Ted and Olivia's hotel suite, then calmly eats supper while being debriefed on what she saw at the mansion she just robbed. Just so you understand exactly how much audacity is involved here, she is a supervillainess. Being debriefed about the robbery she just committed by the head of the government agency charged with dealing with supervillain crime. While eating supper in his hotel suite.
- She gets bonus points for billing the supper to Ted's suite afterward.
- Partially subverted in that Ted wanted her to rob the mansion to cover TASK FORCE's infiltration of the Demonhame underneath it.
- Ship Tease: Any time she appears with Starforce. Any.
