James Harmon III / Shadow Destroyer

Alternate-timeline version of Doctor Destroyer

Character Sheets all
First Seen:"Return of the Destroyer"
Last Seen:"Leap Day"
  • Big Bad: between 2002 and 2012
  • Ham to Ham Combat: subverted versus Starforce in 'The Island of Shadow Destroyer'. Starforce has just subjected him to the Mother of All Presence Attacks, and his most articulate response is to scream at him to shut up.
  • Identical Stranger: Deliberately makes everyone on TASK FORCE Earth think that he is the original Doctor Destroyer risen from the dead
  • Magitek
  • Time Travel: does this in 'The Great Stronghold Breakout,' going back in time to the climax of 'The Paradox of Doctor Destroyer' because he believes that preventing TASK FORCE's trip to World War II ('Greatest Generation') will restore his timeline to existence.
  • Xanatos Gambit: The previously-mentioned time-travel plan to restore his timeline -- even though it failed -- had the fortuitous side-effect of stranding the original Doctor Destroyer in the past, where he cannot disrupt Shadow D's long-running contingency plan to subvert and hijack the Edomite's Leap Day working.
    • not to mention that releasing Menton from hot-sleep in Stronghold to generate a diversion while he stole Valak the World-Ravager's Cosmic Halberd in "The Great Stronghold Breakout" had the added advantage of Menton releasing the rest of Stronghold's inmates to distract the authorities from his own escape attempt.
